(A) Rs.160 (B) Rs.180 (C) Rs. 200 (D) Rs. 240
Ans: Rs.160
Solution:
As per question, the cost of 6 pens and 9 pencils = Rs. 240
Therefore, by dividing 3, the cost of 2 pens and 3 pencils = Rs. 80
As required, by multiplying 2, the cost of 4 pens and 6 pencils = Rs.160

Solution:
As per question, the cost of 5 pens = Rs. 16 x 5 = Rs. 80

Other Question
Q 2597) How many 6 cm long cubes can be cut from a big cube whose edges are 24 cm long ?
(A) 58 (B) 60 (C) 62 (D) 64
Ans: (D) 64
Solution:
Volume of small cube = 6 x 6 x 6 cm3
Volume of big cube = 24 x 24 x 24 cm3
Number of 6 cm long cubes that can be cut from a big cube whose edges are 24 cm long = 24 x 24 x 24 / 6 x 6 x 6 = 64
Q 2598) The value of y from the given figure is —

(A) 30° (B) 32° (C) 34° (D) 36°
Ans: (D) 36°
Solution:
When two lines intersect, the vertically opposite angles are equal
