Q 2510) In the given figure, the value of x is —
(A) 165° (B) 170° (C) 180° (D) 185°
Ans: (D) 185°
Solution: The sum of all the exterior angles of a triangle is 360°.
Therefore, x + 85° + 90° = 360°
x = 360° – 175° = 185°
Q 2511 ) A train travelling 108 km/per hour cross a signal in 9 seconds. The length of the train in meter is —
(A) 265 meters (B) 270 meters (C) 280 meters (D) 285 meters
Ans: (B) 270 meters
Solution: Speed of the train 108 km/ hour = 108000/60 x 60 meter/sec =30 meter/sec
Length of the train = 30 x 9 = 270 meters
Q 2512) 6 men can do a work in 10 days, then in how many days that work will be completed by 20 men ?
(A) 2 days (B) 3 days (C) 4 days (D) 5 days
Ans: (B) 3 days
Solution: Because, 6 men do a work in 10 days
Therefore, One man will do that work in 6 x 10 = 60 days
Therefore, 20 men will do that work in 60/20 = 3 days
Q 2513) Which smallest natural number should 81 be didivided so that the quotient is a perfect cube ?
(A) 3 (B) 4 (C) 5 (D) 6
Ans: (A) 3
Solution: 81 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 3
In the above factorisation 3 remains after grouping the 3’s in triplets. Therefore, 81 is not a perfect cube. If we divide it by 3, we get 27 which is a perfect cube.
