(A) 50° (B) 55° (C) 60° (D) 65°
Ans: (B) 55°
Solution:
From the given figure ∠AEF = ∠DFE (Alternate angles)
∠DFE = 125°
And, x + ∠DFE = 180° (Straight angle)
x + 125° = 180°
x = 180° – 125° = 55°
Q 2507) A trapezium shaped garden has parallel sides are 42 m and 18 m and the perpendicular distance between them is 10 m. The area of garden will be
(A) 200 m² (B) 225 m² (C) 275 m² (D) 300 m²
Ans: (D) 300 m²
Solution:
Area of trapezium =1/2 (Sum of parallel sides) x height
= 1/2 (42 +18) x 10; = 1/2 (60) x 10; = 60 x 5 = 300 m²
Q 2508) The difference between the circumference and diameter of a circle is 60 cm. The radius of the circle is —
(A) 14 cm (B) 16 cm (C) 18 cm (D) 22 cm
Ans: (A) 14 cm
Solution: Suppose 2r be the diameter of the circle
2πr-2r=60; 2r(π-1)=60; 2r(22/7-1)=60; 2r(22-7/ 7)=60; 2r(15/7)=60; 2r=7 x 4= 28
r = 28/2 = 14 cm

Ans: (C) 8
Solution:
Step-1: Volume of the cube whose one edge is 10 cm
= 10 x 10 x 10 cm3
Step-2: Volume of the cube whose one edge is 5 cm
= 5 x 5 x 5 cm3
Step-3: Number of small cubes that can be cut from the big cube
=10 x 10 x 10 / 5 x 5 x 5 = 8 cubes
