Q 3715) Anil told his son, ” I was of your current age when you were born.” If 16 years ago the age of son was 5 years then the current age of Anil will be?

Ans: (B) 42 years

Solution: The present age of son = 16 + 5 = 21 years

The present age of Anil = 21 + 21 = 42 years

Q 3716) The 80% of a number is 64. The 40% of 20 % of that number will be?

(A) 6.00          (B) 6.40         (C) 6.80        (D) 7.20

Ans: (B) 6.40

Solution: The number is 100/80 x 64 = 80

20% of 80 =20/100 x 80=16

40% of 16=6.40

Q 3717) A product was sold at Rs. 144 after discounting 20% on print price and an additional discount 10%. The printed price of the product will be?

(A) 100         (B) 150         (C) 200         (D) 220

Ans: (C) 200

Solution: Suppose Print price=Rs. 100, then price after 20% discount=Rs. 80

Less Additional discount 10% i.e. Rs. 8, therefore Sale Price=80-8=Rs.72

Now, according the question Rs. 72=144, therefore 100=144/72 x100=Rs. 200

Q 3718) An article which cost Rs. 20 is sold for 25% profit. If the cost of article is increased by 10% and the profit percentage remains the same, then the new selling price of the article will be

(A) Rs. 18          (B) Rs. 20         (C) Rs. 22         (D) Rs.27.50

Ans: (D) Rs. 27.50

Solution: 10% increase in the cost of article= 20 x 110/100 = Rs. 22

Selling Price = 22 x 125/100 = Rs. 27.50
