Category: Order of operations

Order of operations: The BODMAS rule provides a specific order for carrying out mathematical operations. The alphabets in  BODMAS represent  brackets, orders (power and roots), division, multiplication, addition and subtraction respectively. Operations should be worked out from left to right. For example:
(2²+3×4)²÷(4÷2×4)+2
(4+3×4)²÷ (4÷2×4)+2
(4+12)²÷ (4÷2×4)+2
(16)²÷ (4÷2×4)+2
256÷ (4÷2×4)+2
256÷ (2×4)+2
256÷ 8+2
