Ans: (B) 20%

Solution:

Percentage reduction in consumption of milk = (y/100+y) x 100 =(25/100+25)x 100

=25/125 x 100 = 20%

Q 2534) A father told to her son, “I was of your current age when you were born.” If 5 years ago the son was 16 years, then the current age of father is —

(A) 40 years    (B) 42 years    (C) 45 years   (D) 48 years

Ans: (B) 42 years

Solution: The current age of son = 5 +16 =21 years

The current age of father = 21 x 2 =42 years

Q 2535) The number of triangles in the given figure is —

(A) 10     (B) 12   (C) 15  (D) 8

Ans: (B) 12

Q 2536) Find the smallest number by which the number 32 must be multiplied to obtain a perfect cube ?

(A) 1     (B) 2   (C) 3   (D) 4

Ans: (B) 2

Solution: 32 x 2 =64 =4 x 4 x 4 =4³

Q 2537) In a right angle triangle PQR, right angle at Q, PQ =6 cm and QR =8 cm, then value of PR will be —

(A) 6 cm    (B) 8 cm    (C) 9 cm    (D) 10 cm

Ans: (D) 10 cm

Solution:  △PQR is a right angled triangle

Therefore, PR² = PQ² + QR² = 6² + 8² = 36 +64 =100

PR² =100

PR =10 cm
