Q 2370) Pointing to a picture of a man, Arun said, “I am the only child of my parents but that man’s father is my father’s son” How is the man in the picture related to Arun ?

(A) Father       (B) Son         (C) Cousin     (D) Nephew

Ans: (B) Son

Hint: Arun is the only child of his parents. The son of Arun’s father means Arun himself. Therefore the man in picture is the son of Arun.

Q 2371) A is 25 years younger than B. The age of B would be double then the age of C after 15 years. The current age of B is three times the current age of C. What is the current age of A ?

(A) 15 years    (B) 20 years   (C) 25 years    (D) 30 years

Ans: (B) 20 years

Hint: Suppose the current  age of C = x years

Then the current age of B would be 3 x years

After 15  years , the age of B would be 3 x + 15  years  and C would be  2 (x + 15) years

Thus,  3 x + 15 = 2 (x + 15)

or  x = 15 years 

So, current age of B = 3 x years = 3 x 15 = 45 years.

and current age of A = 45-25 = 20 years
