Q 2339) If  l ∥ m, then the value of  x  in the given figure is

(A) 60°           (B) 70°             (C) 90°          (D) 110°

Ans: (B) 70°

Hint : In the given figure mark ∠1. Now ∠1 = 110° because pair of corresponding angles are equal. Also  ∠1 + ∠x = 180° because  linear pairs of angles are supplementary, therefore ∠x = 180° – 110° = 70°

Q 2340) If  l ∥ m, then the value of  x  in the given figure is

(A) 60°           (B) 70°             (C) 90°          (D) 100°

Ans: (D) 100°

Hint: In the given figure l ∥ m cut by transversal a, then ∠x =100° because pair of corresponding angles are equal.

Hint: Here ∠x = 60° because pair of interior alternative angles are equal if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal.

Q 2343) If  lines  l ∥ m, and t is a transversal then the value of  x  in the given figure is

(A) 45°           (B) 55°             (C) 90°          (D) 95°

Ans: (B) 55°

Hint: Here ∠x = 55° because pair of interior alternative angles are equal if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal.
