Q 3569) Five animals are in their cages in a certain zoo. Their cages are in a row. Monkey is at the extreme end of the row. Cow is at the immediate left of Deer. Lion is at the extreme right end of the row. Fox is exactly between Deer and Lion. Which animal is at the second position from the left?
(A) Monkey (B) Deer (C) Cow (D) Fox

Solution:
Left: Monkey-Cow-Deer-Fox-Lion :Right
Q 3570) Anil ranked 7th from the top and 26th from the bottom in his class. How many students are there in the class?
(A) 29 (B) 30 (C) 31 (D) 32
Ans: (D) 32
Solution:
Total number of students=7+26-1=32
Q 3571) P is 7th from the top while Q is 16th from the bottom in the class ranking. If they interchange their positions, then P becomes 21st from the top. What will be the position of Q from bottom?
(A) 16th (B) 21st (C) 29th (D) 30th
Ans: (D) 30th
Solution:
Step 1st: Total number of students in the class=(P’s new position from top)+(Q’s original position from bottom)-1=21+16-1=36
Step 2nd: After interchange, Q occupies the position of P. Therefore, the position of Q from the bottom=Total number of students – Position of P -1= 36-7+1=30
Q 3572) Raju is 17th from the right and Ankit is 15th from the left in a line of students. If they interchange their places, the position of Ankit becomes 19th from the left. How many students are there in the line ? (CUET UG 2024, Delhi)
(A) 33 (B) 36 (C) 35 (D) 34
Ans: (C) 35
Solution:
Total students=(Ankit’s new left position)+(Raju’s original right position) -1
=19+17-1
=36-1=35
