Q 2584) In a class of 60 students, 50 students take part in either golf or skating or both. A total of 30 of them take part in golf. A total of 28 students take part in skating. The number of students taking part only in skating is —

(A) 22     (B) 28     (C) 30     (D) 20

Ans: (D) 20

Solution:

In the class, 50 students take part in either golf or skating or both. 30 students take part in golf and 28 students take part in skating. Therefore, out of total 50 students, there are 8 students who take part in both the games. (30+28)-50=8.

And, Number of students who take part only in skating =28-8=20; and Number of students who take part only in golf =30-8=22

or, y=45/3 = Rs. 15

Other question

Ans: (A) 30 years

Solution:

or, y²= 360/10

y²=36

y =√36

y = 6

Now, the age of Anil’s father is 5y = 5 x 6  =30 years
